James T. Douglas, M.D.

Dr. Douglas is a graduate of Cherokee High School in Canton. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his medical residency at Floyd Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Rome, Georgia, and obstetrical fellowship through Floyd Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He practices a full scope of family medicine including newborns, pediatrics, as well as male and female adults.  He has practiced at Northwest Georgia Medical Clinic since 1995. He and his wife, Laurie, have three children, Samuel, James and William.
